Parkett_Klima_Wandel

research area: Building & living
project status: ongoing
design-element

In this project, hygrothermal simulation and simulation of time-dependent deformation and stress distribution in wooden floors is used to predict the effects of the future development of climate change on the requirements for parquet floors. The aim is to investigate the influence of the indoor climate and temperature control on the stability and moisture balance of wooden floor coverings. This includes solid wood floors and multi-layer parquet. Properties of adhesives for laying floors are taken into account. The effects of underfloor cooling and heating on wooden floors are examined and predicted in non-steady simulation.
