This EU-funded research project “Pellets@las“ is designed to make the European market for solid biofuel, in particular for wood pellets, more transparent. The project aims to facilitate trading, improve market information and eliminate supply shortfalls and over-production. Current information is collected and disseminated via the internet (www.pelletsatlas.info). The following data are collected: manufacturers, traders and users of pellets made from wood and from other biomass, regional prices, qualities and quantities. The project is carried out in Austria by HFA in cooperation with proPellets Austria.
