Holzforschung Austria (HFA) is a body which is qualified to perform quality inspection and assessments. In order to qualify for these tasks, the institute is regularly audited by an accreditation body (authorized body). In 2007 the extension of the accreditation of HFA as a testing and inspection institute by the Federal Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth of the Republic of Austria (BMWA) and the Austrian Institute of Construction Engineering (OIB) was central an crucial in this regard.

Since January 1st, 1996 the institute is certified for all relevant testing and inspection procedures according to EN ISO/IEC 17025 and 17020 (formerly EN 45001 e.g. 45004), respectively. Thus we can meet the requirement of our customers in all areas, and our testing and inspection reports have the status of officially recognised and valid documents.
