Fire protection in timber construction
Fire protection represents a central safety aspect in construction. This research project aims at removing certain barriers which exist in public and mulit-storey timber construction. With financial support from the prokis04/2 program HFA is aiming to concentrate exisiting knowledge and to establish itself as a single point of contact for designers and architects. Furthermore solutions for fire protection are attuned to other important aspects relating to building physics in order to avoid even larger uncertainties in the field of timber construction in the future.
