Together with ÖZEPA, the goal of this project is to develop innovative products from fibre rejects and residual sludges from the pulp and paper industry which can achieve a reasonable market price and can therefore represent an added value for the industry involved.

After examining the suitability of the residual sludge for energy generation through biomass gasification, a use for interior fittings is planned in the third year of research as well. With a new project partner, clay-fibre boards were able to be produced that show comparable mechanical properties as commercially available products.
