Log Quality
Even before cutting, the sawmill should know as much as possible about the properties of a piece of round timber. Only in this way the raw material wood can be put to optimal use.
In this project, an industrial-grade system for the automatic determination of various round timber quality features is being developed. Based on the data from this multi-sensor system, statements are made about the expected timber quality using mathematical-statistical methods.
