The aim of this research project is to examine the criteria for the use, the well-being and health safety effects of oiled and waxed surfaces of wooden floors.

Formulations of treatment materials and methods of application are examined with regard to the relevant parameters, with the aim of determining the optimal combination of functionality and comfort. The main focus is to be placed on the VOC emission behaviour of oiled and waxed wooden floors, including an evaluation of the selected sample materials.
