The time saving properties of timber construction based on high prefabrication standards is commonly lost in the course of implementing the technical building equipment, owing to complicated construction details and lack of know how. There are also uncertainties concerning fire, noise and moisture protection, as well as overlaps between the crafts on site. Within the scope of this project a new concept of craft interaction will be generated by an iterative exchange of knowledge and learning process respectively between contractors, planners and research facilities. This is leading to a new cross-crafts business model. Complementing this, prefabricated components for timber construction containing technical building equipment are being advanced.
