Kooperationslabor Holz-Beton-Fügetechnik
Timber-concrete composite ceilings have become increasingly popular in recent years. Current systems, however, mostly use notches or screws for the shear force transmission. These systems are quite labour-intensive in their manufacturing. In the scope of a joint project between Holzforschung Austria and the Association of Austrian Cement Industry (VÖZ), new innovative approaches for the combination of wood and concrete are being developed. Therefore, a so called cooperative laboratory was founded in the course of the strategic projects of Austrian Cooperative Research (ACR), supported by the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (bmwfw).
