Optimised fitting systems

research area: Building & living
project status: completed
design-element

The focus of this project, which is being realized with well-known business partners, is the development of hardware fitting systems for the execution of passive house doors – optimised with respect to energy and building physics.

Long-term suitability of these constructions is examined on the basis of tests for differential climatic loads, long-term functionality, and corrosion resistance; and the optimized fitting systems are tested with regard to their strength properties and fire protection properties. The goal is to arrive at a technically feasible fitting construction that is optimised in terms of building physics, without loss of specific performance features – such as burglary or fire protection.
