Parkett_Klima_Wandel

research area: Building & living
project status: completed
design-element

In this project, hygrothermal simulation and simulation of time-dependent deformation and stress distribution in wooden floors was used to predict the effects of the future development of climate change on the requirements for parquet floors. The aim was to investigate the influence of the indoor climate and temperature control (esp. underfloor cooling) on the stability and moisture balance of wooden floor coverings. This included solid wood floors and multi-layer parquet. Properties of adhesives for laying floors as well as the residual moisture content inside the screed were taken into account.
